TIP OF THE DAY – CLARIFICATION: Barry Johnson, is a retired San Francisco police detective with over 30 years of experience. As our Neighborhood Watch Public Safety Liaison for the Lincoln Police & Fire, Barry reviews incident reports submitted to Neighborhood Watch and when warranted contacts victims to get first-hand information ASAP, so we can keep our community informed.
Unfortunately, many people will not answer unknown phone numbers (as Neighborhood Watch has encouraged you to do). To ensure information IS collected quickly, Barry asks that you place his phone number, 916 434-6538, in your cell phone and landline – include Neighborhood Watch as the company name to help identify the caller.
Burglary: Thursday, 05/25/23 around 9:45 PM some person(s) unknown broke into a residence in the 1200 block of Ivy Arbor Ln. The resident was not home at the time. The perpetrator(s) used some type of hard object to break the rear sliding glass door to gain entry. Miscellaneous items were taken from the bedroom and closet area. Exact loss to be determined. The LPD responded and made a report. This residence backs up to Twelve Bridges. The time of the burglary was determined based on an interior motion detector. (V39 backs to golf course, E Joiner Pkwy & 12 Bridges, entrances are Gatehouse Ln & Carriage Ln off Del Webb Blvd and Ivy Arbor Ln off Stepping Stone Ln)
Vehicle Theft: A vehicle was reported stolen from the 400 block of Day Lily Ln on Friday 05/26/23. The LPD reports the stolen vehicle as a 2014 White Toyota Prius. There is no further information at this time. (V41BC backs to open space & Sun City Blvd, entrances are Hawthorn/Periwinkle & Tiger Lily/Daylily off Sun City Blvd)
We live in a relatively safe community, however from time to time there are opportunists/thieves who come through our villages looking for open doors, windows or indications that the resident is not home. These individuals may be on foot, on a bicycle or in a vehicle.
When you leave your residence look around for any individuals or vehicles that you don’t recognize. If you are suspicious of a person, make a note of the description. With a vehicle try to take a picture of the license plate. Keep that information and give it to the police if something is reported in your neighborhood.
When you go out of town, Lincoln Police Department will make random checks on your house. The required form is on sclhwatch.org at https://sclhwatch.org/pagedownloads/Safetycheckrequest-tips.pdf
