Patricia Hammer, Director of Volunteer Records
Pat was born in San Francisco, and raised and lived in Northern California her entire life, but has traveled extensively to many parts of the world (over 50+ countries). She began her career teaching part time at a university (everyone’s favorite: statistics and research) while she raised her 3 children. When her youngest started kindergarten she moved to full time, both as a Program Manager/Advisor for the University, while continuing to teach part-time, but after a few years moved into administration. She worked first as a Campus Director, then went on to become a Regional Campus Director, and closed out her career as an Assistant Vice Chancellor overseeing 13 campuses (over 40+ years with the same university). She moved to Lincoln Hills (all the way from Roseville!) in October 2017 and retired from the University in July 2018. She has been with NW since she moved here, first as a Mailbox Captain, then moving quickly to serve as a Director. She also serves as a Co Leader for the Women’s Ministry at her church and serves as Chair of the SCLH Elections Committee. Her most important job, however, is babysitting three of her young grandchildren part-time, a “job” she cherishes! She is truly enjoying her retirement to the fullest (and don’t forget traveling in between!). Since she retired 6 years ago, she also added 6 grandchildren to her busy life: obviously all under 6 Years old!
Patricia has served on multiple boards and headed multiple committees throughout the years. She recently served as a volunteer Co-regional Director for Odyssey of the Mind, Sacramento area and served on the State board for Odyssey of the Mind. She is actively involved in a weekly walking group (7 of the group have been friends for over 40 years!), several travel groups and several groups with her church. She actively participates in many of the great activities at Lincoln Hills Sun City and anticipates many more to come.
She participates in Neighborhood Watch as a Mailbox Captain in Village 16B, where she lives, and oversees Villages 19A, 19B, 22A, 22B, and 23 as a Director. Pat has served with Neighborhood Watch for almost 7 years and has chaired New Resident Orientation, and currently serves as Director of Volunteer Records.
