Executive Statement
Welcome. You have just entered the website of Sun City Lincoln Hills Neighborhood Watch, a volunteer organization.
Our Mission Statement is to
- strengthen neighborhood ties,
- increase personal safety and security awareness,
- be the eyes and ears of the Lincoln Police and Fire Departments, and
- encourage emergency preparedness.
Happy 20th Anniversary, Neighborhood Watch. Since 2000, we have developed a communication network of approximately 80 Village Coordinators and over 600 Mail Box Captains who have the responsibility of managing and delivering communications when necessary. E-mail is our primary communication tool and we are holding meetings on GoToMeeting during the pandemic.
In 2020, we published Neighborhood Watch Policies and Procedures 2020 and Beyond. We streamlined and simplified our volunteers duties and responsibilities, taking advantage of 2020 technologies.
During the pandemic sheltering, we developed virtual training for residents, Mailbox Captains, and Village Coordinators including a Virtual Welcome Packet all available on this website at sclhwatch.org/tutorials. We have updated our website to make sure all the documents are current and we continue to review them frequently.
We are fortunate to be sponsored by the Lincoln Hills Foundation with whom we have formed a great partnership. Our very successful Salt Mine Food Drive in October, in connection with National Night Out, is a testament to that joint effort. We have voted to permanently move our National Night Out to the first Tuesday in October to take advantage of more pleasant weather. Keep up-to-date with all our activities and events on this website.
Since we have 6,783 homes in our community, we take our responsibilities very seriously. Pandemic or not, we are here to serve you as neighborhood volunteers. You are all members of Neighborhood Watch, renters and owners alike. Please consider this website among your favorites and do not hesitate to send us your suggestions and recommendations. We value your comments and support.
