3…(Possible Scam attempt)
While trying to purchase a M-95 face masks online, one of our residents tried several different “known” distributors i.e. Amazon and Target to no avail. At that point she went into search mode and she was directed to a website “Antidote Supply.Com.” Their prices were much higher than those listed for the “known” distributors, but she ordered two masks, using her credit card. Shortly thereafter she received an email from her bank “Wells Fargo” asking if she had authorized these purchases. She reported back that she had ordered the masks, but she noted that the vender’s phone number was from a foreign country. She immediately tried to cancel her order through the original vender. She found that she was unable to cancel through that website. Eventually she was able to stop the transaction and there was no loss.

We live in a relatively safe community, however from time to time there are Opportunist/Thieves who drive through our villages looking for easy targets. Always be aware and alert and IMMEDIATELY report ANY SUSPICIOUS PERSON(S) OR VEHICLES TO THE POLICE. (Emergency # 911, Non-Emergency # 916-645-4040)
