Another update about the Public Safety Power Shutoff has been posted to the Lincoln Police Facebook page.
It’s hard to accept but if you have not heard from PG&E, then no news is good news. If your power will be shut off, PG&E will notify you. Once your power is off, they will send you updates about when it will likely come back on.
The PG&E website is overwhelmed so you can’t get updates there.
UPDATE (10/9/19 @ 9:30 AM): PG&E is still conducting their Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). The first phase took place this morning shortly after midnight. The second and third phases are expected to take place today and tomorrow, but should not affect Placer County. All power shutoffs for Lincoln are complete. The restoration of power back to sites that are currently down is anticipated to begin midday tomorrow, October 10. Currently there are 47,591 customers in Placer County without power. Due to the widespread nature of this event, it could take up to five days to restore power. While the power is out, the City will continue to keep the Library and Community Center open for charging accessibility between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM. Please continue to stay safe out there. We will keep you apprised of new updates as they are available.
