1….A resident in the 1700 Block of Stone House Ln  reports that sometime between late night Saturday 12/01/18 and Sunday 12/02/18 8:00 AM some person(s) unknown removed four of the six batteries from the resident’s golf cart, which was parked outside in their driveway. A police report was made. (V40A backs to open space, entrance is Cooper Ln, off Andover Ln)

2….In the 1800 block of Farmgate Ln the resident reports that their “Unlocked” cars were entered and miscellaneous items were stolen. This occurred between 11:00 PM Friday 12/07/18 and 5:00 AM Saturday 12/08/18. The vehicles were parked in the resident’s driveway. (V29 backs to East Joiner Pkwy, Del Webb Blvd & golf course, entrance is Farmgate Ln) 3….Residents on 1800 block of Hill Grove Ln report that sometime in July they mailed two checks from the cluster mailboxnear their home, to an insurance company, and those checks never arrived. In November they found that some unknown person had purchased several items from various stores (Kohl’s twice and Walmart) and their checking accounts had been debited. They immediately closed that checking account and opened a new account. That meant that any automated transactions in those accounts had to be contacted and reassigned to the new account. A big headache!! (V31A backs to Del Webb Blvd, Spring Valley Pkwy & golf course, entrance is Hill Grove Ln) At this time their are no known suspects and the means used to gain access to their checking account is believed to be the lost/stolen checks, but that is not positive. These people were very aware and alert and had put their mail in the cluster box just prior to the mail person’s arrival. So this incident, at this time, still remains a mystery. Click here to see our flyer about mail station break-ins which includes a list of secure boxes and pick up times. We live in a relatively safe community, however, from time to time there are opportunist thieves who drive through our villages looking for something to steal.   IMMEDIATELY report any suspicious person(s) or vehicles to the police!!  (Emergency call 911, Non-Emergency call 916-645-4040)
IF YOU MUST LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE OUTSIDE OVER NIGHT, ALWAYS CLOSE ALL WINDOWS, LOCK THE DOORS AND NEVER LEAVE ANYTHING THAT COULD BE PERCEIVED AS VALUABLE IN PLAIN VIEW. NEVER LEAVE PORTABLE GARAGE DOOR OPENERS IN YOUR VEHICLE. THIS INCLUDES WHEN YOU GO SHOPPING. The cluster mailboxes in our community are NOT SECURE!!!  NEVER LEAVE ANY MAIL IN THESE BOXES OVER NIGHT.
