1……A resident in the 2100 block of Briarcliff Ln reports that while out to dinner on Friday 10/26/18, between 5:30 and 8:30 PM some person(s) unknown entered the residence and took the listed items. To gain entry the suspects apparently used one of the metal patio chairs to smash out the large window, in the rear bathroom. The suspect(s) then apparently locked the bedroom door, keeping the resident’s dog out. They then went through all the drawers in the bedroom and closet, throwing them on the floor. The loss included numerous pieces of jewelry. The Lincoln Police responded and took a report. (V38A backs to Parkside Dr, Spring Valley Pkwy & open space, entrances are Briarcliff Ln & Laurelhurst Ln, off Parkside Dr)

2….. Another Burglary occurred in the 1700 block of Maple Grove Ln on Friday 10/26/18, within the same time frame as the above mentioned Burglary. In this case the residents were out at a show. At 6:45 PM, their Alarm Company notified them that there was a break-in at their residence. The residents returned home and arrived at 7:40 PM, to find that some person(s) unknown had smashed the rear sliding glass door enough to unlock the door and slide it open. This is apparently when the alarm went off and the Alarm Company notified the resident. In both cases the residents had a dog and the suspect/(s) shut him/her in another room. There was no apparent loss indicated at this time. The Lincoln Police responded, processed the scene for prints and took a report.
