Subject:Update 1/23/18 Alert about package stolen from porch & tips to avoid scams

We have been advised by the resident that unbeknownst to her, FedEx picked up the package. She had been expecting the USPS to pick it up. And the USPS was also expecting pick it up.

Nice to have a happy ending.
Tips to avoid scams:

Stop those pesky robo calls by signing up at nomorobo.com. It won’t eliminate all of them but it does stop most of them. FREE for LANDLINES……$1.99/month or $19.99/year for mobile SMART phones.
Newer cordless handsets for landlines can be programmed to block numbers. This is a good idea for households with a member who is mentally declining.
Watch caller ID. Don’t answer unfamiliar numbers. If it’s legitimate, they will leave a message.
Hang up on live scam callers. Don’t worry about being rude. Be shrewd!
