Neighborhood Watch has launched a SAFE AT HOME PROGRAM with valuable information, including new technologies, to keep residents safe and smarter during the holidays and throughout the year. The program empowers residents to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their pets.
A home safety checklist can prevent falls by making simple changes, such as identifying and fixing hazards in each room. The list improves safety by focusing on things like the unsafe placement of objects, lighting, flooring, rugs and carpeting, bathroom hazards, etc.
The program also offers more information to empower independence, safety, and wellness through wearable devices such as smart watches, medical alert necklaces, and apps.
Tips on lockboxes are also provided, including how to safely install and locate them, and precautions to help first responders, who depend on your house address lights being visible.
Mailbox Captains – please forward this to your residents.
