Reneé Plummer, Executive Assistant
Reneé Plummer has called Sun City Lincoln Hills home since 2013. Since joining Neighborhood Watch in June 2017, she has served in a variety of leadership roles, including Mailbox Captain, Coordinator, Director, Executive Assistant, and Webmaster. For the past six years, she has served as Executive Assistant, supporting Neighborhood Watch communications, administration, volunteer programs, and board operations.
As Neighborhood Watch webmaster for the past five years, Reneé has worked to expand the website’s content and resources, helping residents easily access Neighborhood Watch information, community safety updates, emergency preparedness tools, and local support services. She also designs many of the organization’s flyers, posters, alerts, and informational materials, including the official ““We ♥️ our Neighbors” logo, helping residents stay informed, connected, and prepared.
In addition to her Neighborhood Watch roles, Reneé is currently serving her second year as a Director and Board of Directors Secretary for the Sun City Lincoln Hills Community Association.
After a 25-year career in school transportation, including 15 years as Driver Training Coordinator for Clovis Unified School District, Reneé retired in 2012. Her background includes training, safety, and regulatory compliance. In 2014, she established her own transportation consulting business and continues to work with a select group of clients, including a Northern California school district and private school.
Creativity has always been an important part of Reneé’s life. Before entering transportation, she operated a custom sewing and design business, creating one-of-a-kind wedding and pageant gowns. She often jokes that if she could manage fittings for an entire wedding party, including five energetic flower girls, she could handle almost anything. When she discovered computers, her creativity simply found a new canvas, evolving from fabric and thread to desktop publishing, graphic design, and website development.
Reneé was married to her high school sweetheart, Daryl, for 39 years before his passing in 2012. Together they raised two wonderful children and were blessed with four grandchildren. Following his death and her retirement, Reneé relocated to Sun City Lincoln Hills in 2013 to be closer to her son, daughter-in-law, and three of her four grandchildren. As the daughter of a career Marine, she grew up in a military family and remains especially proud of her family’s continued tradition of service.
These days, she enjoys cheering on her grandchildren: Brady, an Army Sergeant serving as a Military Police officer assigned to NATO in Belgium; Bryce, a student at the Navy’s NNPTC in South Carolina preparing for service aboard nuclear submarines; Nathan, an honors student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham attending on an academic scholarship; and their only granddaughter, Avery, a freshman at Dominican University in New York attending on both academic and volleyball scholarships.
