On Friday 04/27/18 around 3:00 PM a fire started at a residence on Mariemont Court. This was a major fire, causing a large amount of smoke which could be seen for miles. Consequently, many residents responded by driving into the area. This caused a traffic jam which impeded the fire departments response.
The fire was eventually extinguished and no one was injured.!!
The cause of the fire is under investigation. According to a member of the fire department, an official report as to the cause of this fire will be out within a few weeks.
ANY TIME THERE IS AN EMERGENCY SITUATION OF ANY KIND, IF YOU ARE NOT DIRECTLY INVOLVED, STAY OUT OF THE AREA. IF THERE IS A NEED FOR YOU TO COME INTO THE AREA FOR SOME GOOD REASON, PARK YOUR CAR AT LEAST A BLOCK AWAY AND WALK TO YOUR DESTINATION. ALWAYS OBEY THE DIRECTIONS OF THE POLICE OR FIRE PERSONNEL ON THE SCENE.
