1. SCAM ALERT: Fake Party Invitation Emails
A phishing scam is circulating using fake party invitations that appear to come from services like Greetings Island, Punchbowl, or Evite. Some emails are sent from hacked accounts, making them look legitimate. A current example in Sun City appears as an invitation from a well know resident inviting them to a “Joyful Gathering on May 9.” The message lists multiple resident names and email addresses and asks recipients to click an “invitation” link for details.
THIS IS A SCAM AND SHOULD BE DELETED IMMEDIATELY. Clicking link may:
- Install malware or remote‑access software
- Direct you to a fake login page that steals credentials
- Allow scammers access to your computer and personal information
- Do not click the link or open attachments.
2. ONLINE SAFETY REMINDER
To stay safe:
- Never open unsolicited emails or texts
- Do not click unexpected links or attachments
- Verify unusual messages, even if they appear to come from someone you know
- When in doubt—delete it
3. TRAFFIC ALERT: New Stop Signs
New stop signs are now installed at Highway 193 and Oak Tree Lane as construction continues.
Drivers should slow down, be prepared to stop, and follow all posted traffic controls.
