TRESPASSING CONCERNS

With multi-family housing developments close to SCLH, we have seen an increased number of juveniles and young adults riding through our community on various types of bicycles, including electric bikes.

The streets within SCLH are public streets.  If they are riding on the streets, that is perfectly legal. However, riding on the sidewalks is illegal. If they ride on our property, they are trespassing!

IF YOU FEEL IN DANGER, CALL 911.

The Lincoln Police Department urges residents not to confront these violators. (There was a report that one of our female residents confronted several juveniles trespassing on our property and she was knocked down and injured.)

When you observe a violation which you believe may endanger someone or damage property try to get a picture (if you can do so safely) or a description of the perpetrators. If they are on association property contact our private security company ( V-Force Security at 1-279-239-9094).

FORWARD YOUR PICTURES OR DESCRIPTION TO THE LINCOLN POLICE DEPARTMENT with full details of the incident, including your name and contact information.  The police have advised us that they could use your report and photo to identify the juvenile(s) involved. In that case, they may contact the perpetrator’s parents.

The police department wants to work with us to abate this type of incident.  However, we don’t want to overload them with reports and pictures of very minor incidents which our private security would be able to handle.
