Dear Sun City Lincoln Hills Resident,
SCLH NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH NEEDS YOUR HELP. The City of Lincoln was recently ranked the seventh safest city in California – due in part to the dedicated volunteers of Neighborhood Watch and their diligence in providing our residents with vital information regarding criminal activity and how to avoid becoming a victim. In support of the Neighborhood Watch Mission Statement and under the guidance of the Lincoln Police and Fire departments, NW issues dozens of Alerts and FYI bulletins annually, provides New Resident Welcome Packets to each new resident, conducts Annual Community Safety Events and holds community wide National Night Out events. We provide all these services to our community for an estimated cost of less than $1 per household – per year! NW recently requested a grant for $3,650, but only received $2,350. This left the organization short $1,300 for 2024. Due to this shortfall, the NW Board of Directors decided to file for a 501c(3) exemption, resulting in additional expenses of filing fees and rental for a P O Box totaling $500. The good news is – our newly authorized 501C(3) designation means donations made to SCLH Neighborhood Watch are now tax deductible. SCLH Neighborhood Watch If more funds are received than needed for our shortfall, they will be applied to the SCLH Neighborhood Watch 2025 budget. If you have questions, please contact Neighborhood Watch Executive Director, Linda Minor at executivedirector@sclhwatch.org. Thanks in advance for your support, Your Neighborhood Watch Board of Directors. |
