GOOD NEWS FROM LINCOLN POLICE DEPT:
On May 30 at approximately 10 a.m., the Lincoln Police Department’s Specialized Resource Team (SRT) opened an investigation into Lincoln resident Krystin Gonzales who was suspected of purchasing and financing vehicles by means of identity theft. A records check determined Gonzales to have three felony no bail warrants for her arrest. At approximately 11:55am, Lincoln Police Detectives and Lincoln Police Officers observed Gonzales driving a 2022 GMC Sierra which was suspected to be stolen. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of Lincoln Blvd and First Street where Gonzales failed to yield to officers and fled southbound. Officers pursued Gonzales as she fled in a willful wanton disregard for public safety for approximately 6 minutes. Gonzales then abandoned the vehicle near the area of 6th and P street where she fled on foot into a residence located in the 1100 block of Kathy Way. Gonzales was subsequently arrested and booked into the Placer County Jail for the three felony warrants and fresh felony charges to include impersonation, forgery, stolen vehicle, evading, possession of stolen property, and committing a felony while out on bail.
At this time the Lincoln Police Department has recovered three stolen vehicles associated to this investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
