Jewelry Thieves are still driving around Lincoln Hills looking for victims.

On Friday, March 1st, they made two attempts but were unsuccessful because both women remembered our previous Alerts advising them to not approach the vehicle but to write down the license number & contact LPD!

FRIDAY MARCH 1ST, AT 12:00 NOON,

one of our residents was walking home with her dog on the 1900 block of Graeagle Ln when the vehicle listed below, pulled up next to her. The person in the back seat (Suspect #1) rolled down the window and in a very low voice asked for directions. This very alert resident remembered our previous Alerts describing these subjects and vehicle and their approach as they lured unsuspecting residents over to their vehicle and would not approach the vehicle.  She told the suspect that she could not help her. The vehicle then drove away. Our resident took down the listed suspect vehicle license plate number in an email to herself. She called the Lincoln police and forwarded the information. The Lincoln police have not been able to locate this vehicle at this time.

LATER THAT SAME DAY AT 3:00 PM,

another resident was in front of her house on Andover Ln when she was approached for directions. She kept her distance and said she could not help. The woman then got out of the car. When the resident stepped back and continued saying she was unable to help, the woman got back in the car, and they drove away. The resident made a police report and described the vehicle as a sedan with the same license plate number.

IN THE PAST MONTH,

these subjects have approached several of our female residents. The female subject – usually seated in the rear seat – will ask for directions, and have the resident come close to the vehicle. The subject then tells the resident that she would like to give her a present.  She reaches out of the window and in one case, she put a necklace on the resident while rubbing her hand. These subjects then drive off. The resident later discovered that the expensive necklace she had been wearing was missing and she had a costume jewelry necklace in its place.
