Lincoln Police Department TRAFFIC TUESDAY!
In recent months Lincoln PD officers have observed an increase in golf carts being operated on city roadways. The operation of these unregistered vehicles is prohibited by the California vehicle code.
Driving golf carts on unapproved roadways is not only illegal but can be extremely unsafe as well. Golf carts are not NEV’s and therefore cannot be operated anywhere within the city, unless it is on an approved golf cart transportation route. As the weather begins to get better the urge to drive your golf carts increases. Lincoln PD officers are going to be more cognizant of this and will be enforcing the laws pertaining to the illegal operation of golf carts outside of the approved transportation routes.
