Catalytic Converter Theft:  Some person(s) unknown stole the catalytic converter from a Honda which was parked in the Orchard Creek parking lot . This occurred on Thursday 08/18/22 between 3:30 and 4:30 PM. If you have any information about this theft contact the Lincoln Police Department at 916 645-4040.

New Scam: An alert resident has reported that she received a text message saying her Venmo account has been disabled due to a billing problem. It said to click on the link within 48 hours or the account would be permanently suspended. Venmo accounts are attached to a bank account and used to send or receive cash.  She called Venmo instead. They said they never send text messages, only email and there was nothing wrong with the account. Venmo asked for a screenshot of the message.  This would also apply to other cash transfer accounts such as Zelle, Paypal, etc. Do not click on links in texts or emails if you did not request something. Go directly to the source.

Burglary: One of our residents reports that some unknown person(s) entered his residence on the 100 block of Whitehall Ln at or about 1:30 AM on Thursday 08/25/22. At that time he was awakened and got up but did not see anyone.  He found that two items had been moved. One item had been on a table by the window and it was found outside on the patio. Entry was gained by cutting the screen on an open window in the rear of the house.  The perpetrator(s) had apparently gained entry into the backyard by climbing over the locked front gate. Nothing was reported missing at this time. (V3B backs to golf course, Stags Leap Ln & Hwy 193, entrances are Truchard off Stags Leap, Sawmill off Wagon Wheel)

We do live in a relatively safe area, however from time to time there are opportunists/criminals who go through our community looking for easy marks, i.e. open doors, windows, papers/pamphlets left on front steps indicating no one is home. Garage doors left partially open are an especially easy mark.

These individuals travel through our community in cars, on bicycles or just walking.  Always be aware and alert to any suspicious subject(s) or vehicle(s) and report them IMMEDIATELY to the police. Emergency 911, non-emergency 916-645-4040) When reporting a suspicious vehicle try to obtain the license plate number and give it to the police operator when you call.
