Attempted Scam:  A resident received a call from an unknown individual with a foreign accent. The caller told the resident that he was from “Norton” security and that the resident’s account was going to be charged $299.00. The victim was told to open her computer to give him access and the matter could be cleared. The resident fortunately remembered seeing our Neighborhood Watch Warnings about such a scam. She told the caller she did not have a computer and he immediately hung up.
