Incidents occurring during the month of February
- An older model Honda vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a residence on the 1600 block of Andover. The vehicle was recovered by the CHP at an unknown location in Sacramento county. Upon recovery it was discovered that the thieves had removed the vehicle’s catalytic converter. (V19A backs to open space, Sun City Blvd & Del Webb Blvd, entrance is Sun City Blvd.)
- On 2/15/22 the catalytic converter was removed from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 2400 block of Sutter View Ln. (V32B backs to open space & golf course, entrance is Sutter View Ln off Spring Valley Pkwy.)
- Beware of Craigslist Scams…..A resident posted a rug for sale. The resident received a couple of replies stating they couldn’t pick up the rug right away but would send a cashier’s check for $50-$100 over the asking price to hold the item. This is an old scam where the seller is instructed to deposit the cashier’s check and send the overpayment back to the “alleged buyer.” Once you deposit the check and send back the overage the ” buyer” never shows up and the cashier’s check turns out to be fraudulent. In this case the resident was aware of this Scam and did not lose any money.
- On 2/11/22 a resident reported to the LPD that a purse was stolen from a vehicle on 1900 block of Deep Springs Ln. No further details at this time. (V32A backs to open space, golf course, entrance is Sutter View Ln off Spring Valley Pkwy.)
