Update on Fountain Hill Loop Attempted Burglary
On 09/18/21 at 5:30 AM a resident in the 2300 block of Fountain Hill Lp was awakened by the listed suspect as he climbed through an unlocked bathroom window. The resident confronted the suspect when he was about a third of the way through the window. The resident screamed and the suspect backed out of the window and fled as the resident called the police. The police located the suspect. A short vehicle pursuit ensued, the driver/suspect stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. He was subsequently taken into custody.
The suspect was identified as 26 yr old Kevin Graves of Lincoln. Graves was charged with Burglary, Evading, Committing a felony while on Parole, Possession of Paraphernalia, Driving while License Suspended for DUI, along with four outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrants. He was booked into the Placer County Jail.

During days of hot weather, it is tempting to leave windows and/or a sliding door open to cool our homes at night. Neighborhood Watch and NeighborsInDeed have strongly recommended that windows or doors left open MUST have a PVC pipe or a strong dowel in their track that prevents the door or window from opening more than 4 inches. We do live in a relatively safe community but from time to time there are opportunists who go through our villages looking for easy targets. These individuals may be on foot, bicycle or in a vehicle. They may be male or female. Always be alert and aware. Immediately report any suspicious person(s) or vehicles to the police. Emergency 911, Non-Emergency 916-645-4040
Report an incident or suspicious person(s) to Lincoln Police first, then notify Neighborhood Watch. The victim must make the police report.
A mailbox captain or neighbor can make the Neighborhood Watch report. The important thing is to get the victim’s contact information for first-hand information.
