IMMEDIATELY REPORT ANY PERSON OR VEHICLE THAT AROUSES YOUR SUSPICIONS. (EMERGENCY # 911;
NON-EMERGENCY # 916 645-4040)
Never let strangers, unsolicited “inspectors” or solicitors into your home. Create a barrier between yourself and solicitors with a metal screen door, security door or talk through a window near the door. Before letting unscheduled inspectors or repairmen in, verify their ID with their employer.
When reporting a suspicious vehicle, try to obtain the license plate number and give it to the dispatcher when you call. It is also helpful to note the make and model of vehicle, color, age and direction of travel.
