Although more than 75 people signed up to attend, as air quality declined so did the number of attendees – in the end 50 people attended. Folks were happy to see each other IN PERSON and enjoyed catching up with their fellow volunteers and exchanging ideas for their own Oct 5th NNO Event.
NNO Kickoff Coordinator, Suzanne Rosevold reported the Salt Mine food drive was off to a good
start. We’d collected more than 100 canned and dry food donations and hope to fill a Salt Mine truck with donations from our upcoming National Night Out food drive on October 5th.
Suzanne Rosevold extends her thanks to: guest speakers Jeri DiFiore and Dianne Kroll who spoke of their experiences in hosting National Night Out events in their neighborhoods, our dedicated event volunteers, Wanda Frederick , Marie Basinger, Dee Fuggiasco, Gerry Bell, Mary Shelton, Dawna Hawksworth, and NW Photographer, Klara Kleman, and a special thank you to Lorraine Immel, Denise Hexom and Mark Forry (c4e Dyslexic Scholarship), for their donation of the plants used as centerpieces and then given to our guests – one from each table.
Thank you to all our Neighborhood Watch Volunteers.
