1….On Friday, 06/11/21 at 9:30 AM a resident in the 1400 block of Lasso Lake Ln came from the house into his garage and found two strangers (listed below) in the garage. The point of entry was the unlocked side garage door. There were two cars in the garage and the male subject was in one car while the female subject was in the other car. The resident apparently surprised them as they were either looking for the car keys, to steal a car, or looking for valuables to steal. The resident yelled at them to get out and he opened the front garage door. The male subject got out of the car, approached the resident, and started yelling at the resident, stating “They’re trying to kill me.” At that point the resident’s wife looked out and the resident yelled “Call the police and get my gun.”

The male subject exited the garage and started walking down the street. As he walked away he was going from house to house trying to gain entry into another residence. The female subject had previously left the garage and walked down the street. The police arrived within approximately four minutes. They took the resident and his wife, in separate vehicles, in search of the two subjects. Both subjects were located and positively identified. When the police attempted to arrest the male subject he resisted and had to be physically subdued.

Subject #1: White Male, 50’s, 6 feet+

Subject #2: White Female, 40’s, “Shaved head.”

2… It has been reported that a purse was stolen from a vehicle which was parked in the parking lot in the Sports Pavilion parking lot. This occurred around 5:00 PM on Friday, 06/04/21. The thief(s) broke into the vehicle by smashing out a window. The thief then attempted to use the stolen credit cards at a local store. At the time of the theft the purse was covered and not visible from the outside of the vehicle. This incident is under investigation by the Lincoln Police.

Tip: IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO BRING YOUR PURSE WITH YOU, PUT IT IN THE TRUNK BEFORE ENTERING YOUR FINAL PARKING LOCATION. YOU COULD BE OBSERVED PUTTING IT IN THE TRUNK.

3….Three catalytic converters were stolen in various locations: Friday, 06/04/21 in the 900 block of Coachman Ln and the 200 block of Caymus Ct. On Sunday, the June 6 another one was stolen in the 700 block of Wagon Wheel. There are no known suspects at this time.

Tip: THIEVES KNOW THAT CATALYTIC CONVERTERS ARE VERY VALUABLE AND COSTLY TO REPLACE. . .IF POSSIBLE, PARK YOUR VEHICLE IN A GARAGE

We live in a relatively safe community, however, from time to time there are opportunist thieves who drive through our villages looking for easy targets i.e. doors left unlocked, valuables left in plain view in vehicles.
