Window Washer Erik Martinson Sentenced
In April 2019 Erik Martinson, of Glimmering Windows of Santa Rosa, came to a Lincoln Hills residence soliciting his window washing services. A resident hired him and paid, then stopped payment on the check when he saw the job was not completed as agreed. Martinson came back and confronted the customer’s wife about the payment. He then struck the wife in the face and fled. He was arrested soon thereafter.
There had been similar earlier incidents involving angry responses to dissatisfied customers.
In a plea agreement on January 14, 2021 Martinson was sentenced to 3 years in prison for felony assault on an elder adult. However, due to COVID, the California Department of Corrections has limited the number of transfers they are accepting from local jails. Currently, Martinson is housed in the Placer County Jail. He will serve his time there until or if, the California Department of Correction accepts his transfer.
