Three Recent Incidents in Lincoln Hills

  1. …(Grand Theft) On 12/11/20 one of our residents had his golf clubs and softball equipment stolen from inside his vehicle. There was no sign of forced entry into the vehicle. The exact location of the theft is unknown. A police report was made.
  2. ….(Vandalism/Theft) A resident in the 2600 block of Crescent Circle reports that sometime between 12/05/20 and 12/06/20 someone drilled a hole in the vehicle gas tank and siphoned out all the gas. A police report was made. (V22B backs to open space, 12 Bridges Dr & Stoneridge Blvd, entrance is Crescent Ln off Stoneridge Blvd.)
  3. …(Scam) A scammer convinced a resident to give them access to the resident’s computer and personal information. The loss was $20,000. (The exact type of scam is not known at this time.) A police report was made.

ALL YEAR ROUND, AND ESPECIALLY DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON, THERE ARE OPPORTUNIST THIEVES WHO CRUISE OUR VILLAGES, AND THE AREA SHOPPING CENTERS, LOOKING FOR AN EASY TARGET. ALWAYS CLOSE YOUR WINDOWS AND LOCK YOUR DOORS WHEN NOT IN USE.

WHEN YOU CALL ABOUT A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE TRY TO OBTAIN THE LICENSE PLATE NUMBER AND GIVE IT TO THE POLICE DISPATCHER.

NEVER GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANY PERSON YOU DO NOT KNOW. IF YOU RECEIVE A SUSPICIOUS PHONE CALL, JUST HANG-UP. UNSOLICITED EMAIL, JUST DELETE. WHEN IN DOUBT, CONTACT A RELATIVE, FRIEND OR NEIGHBOR FOR ADVICE.
