One of our residents in the 900 block of Gold Nugget Circle r(close to Safeway, off Northfield Lane)
reports that the listed suspect stole a package containing miscellaneous items from the front porch. This occurred on 01/16/20 during the day.
The residents were home at the time and heard their “RING” DOOR CAMERA sound an alert. They checked the camera and found pictures of the “Porch Thief” and the getaway vehicle. See attached photos. The Lincoln police were contacted and a report was made by phone. The photos were forwarded to the LPD. The resident advises that she posted these photos on social media and she was contacted by a person living in the Plumas Lake area of Yuba County. That person had pictures of this same thief stealing packages of tools, worth thousands of dollars, from his front porch. The Yuba County Sheriff is investigating that case as a felony.

SUSPECT #1: White Male, 20-30 years old, wearing glasses, and dark clothing with some type of card on a lanyard around his neck. (The hair appears to be a wig and possible fake facial hair. All part of a disguise.)

SUSPECT #2: Driver of vehicle, Young Female . No further description.

WE LIVE IN A RELATIVELY SAFE COMMUNITY, HOWEVER FROM TIME TO TIME THERE ARE OPPORTUNIST THIEVES WHO DRIVE THROUGH THE VILLAGES LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO STEAL. THEY LOOK FOR UNLOCKED VEHICLES, DOORS, WINDOWS OR HOUSES THAT APPEAR VACANT.

If you see a person or vehicle which arouses your suspicions, call the police or make a note. Emergency 911; non-emergency 916 645-4040. When reporting a suspicious vehicle try to obtain the license plate number and give it to the dispatcher when you call.

WHEN LEAVING YOUR RESIDENCE, LOOK AROUND AND TAKE NOTE OF ANY SUSPICIOUS PERSON(S) OR VEHICLES ON YOUR BLOCK.

Reminder: Do not abbreviate 2020 on checks. The date could be changed to an earlier or later date.
