Holiday Season Reminders

The holiday season is here and many of us are going out of town.
Relatives and friends are coming here to visit.
These are some tips to keep your home safe.

Observe and Report is the mission of Neighborhood Watch. The police cannot be everywhere, therefore residents need to be extra alert and report any suspicious persons or vehicles.
Call IMMEDIATELY to give police time to arrive.
If it’s an emergency call 911, non-emergency call 916 645-4040.
WHEN REPORTING A SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE, TRY TO OBTAIN THE LICENSE PLATE NUMBER (take a picture with your phone) AND GIVE IT TO THE DISPATCHER WHEN YOU CALL.

LEAVING TOWN:

Use the checklist in our “Worry-Free Vacation” flyer. ~~Print this now and put it in your suitcase~~

Notify your Mailbox Captain and/or a friend.

You can request the Lincoln Police to do a Vacation Home Check. Click here for the required form.

Is your neighbor out of town? Remove newspapers and flyers left on their driveway or front porch.

REMIND YOUR VISITORS to lock vehicle doors and keep everything out of sight.
