Aggressive Salespeople in Lincoln Hills and Attempted Carjacking in ROSEVILLE SUN CITY 1….(BEWARE) From time to time we have salespeople coming to our homes trying to sell various products or services. Recently, a resident on Greenridge Ct reports that an aggressive salesman came to her door and attempted to convince her to switch from PG&E to ANOTHER company . This resident was very smart and alert and did not fall the very “SLICK” sales pitch. This resident wanted other residents to be aware that this salesperson was so “Slick” that he could convince some of our residents to switch companies without realizing what was happening. (V13 is across the street from Orchard Creek Lodge, off Strolling Hills Ln) 2….(FYI) A recent news broadcast reports that a female Sun City resident was the victim of an attempted carjacking. THIS DID NOT OCCUR IN OUR SUN CITY. IT OCCURRED IN ROSEVILLE. In that incident, according to the News Report, the victim was driving her car in or near Sun City Roseville, when she stopped to help a FEMALE HITCH HIKER. The HITCH HIKER attempted to take the resident/victim’s car keys and the resident/victim fought back. Several other residents attempted to help and the FEMALE SUSPECT fought with them. Eventually a window washing contractor tackled the suspect. The police arrived and took her into custody. WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING, KEEP THE DOORS LOCKED AT ALL TIMES. IF YOU ARE STOPPED FOR SOME REASON BY SOMEONE YOU DO NOT KNOW, KEEP THE WINDOWS CLOSED. TALK TO THEM THROUGH THE CLOSED WINDOW. IF THEY NEED HELP, CALL FOR THEM, BUT DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR OR ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW. THERE ARE MANY TRICKS USED BY CRIMINALS TO GET YOU TO STOP YOUR CAR AND GET OUT. ONE TRICK IS TO BUMP THEIR VEHICLE INTO THE REAR OF YOUR VEHICLE . WHEN YOU GET OUT TO INSPECT THE DAMAGE THE CRIMINAL ROBS YOU.
