1….There have been three incidents where vehicles were entered and items stolen. The police report does not indicate any forced entry in any of these incidents. Two incidents occurred on Yosemite Lane and one incident was on Lariat Loop. All occurred during the late night or early morning hours. There are no known suspects at this time.
(V14 backs to Ingram Pkwy, Sports Complex and golf course; entrance is Yosemite off Ingram. V6 backs to open space, golf course and Ingram Pkwy; entrance is Lariat Ln off Ingram.) 2…..A resident reports a “SCAM” call from an “855” NUMBER. The Scammer said that there was an urgent message and to call this number immediately. This resident was very smart and did not call the “855” number. 3…..One of our Neighborhood Watch mail box captains received a crude, but detailed, SCAM email in which the SCAMMER alleges that there is $12,000,000,000 waiting to be delivered to her. This money allegedly is going through the New York court system and will require the resident to pay a $100 “Transfer fee.” The SCAMMER requests payment via Money Transfer, Western Union, Google Play card or Walmart Gift card. The SCAMMER even gives directions to where to purchase these cards. He/she further advised to scratch the card, exposing numbers, and to send a photo of the card to an address in Cotonou, Benin Republic! NO LEGITIMATE PAYMENT IS EVER MADE VIA GIFT CARDS. 4…..There is a report of a DRONE flying up close to the front bedroom windows of a residence on the 2300 block of Pebblestone Lane. This has occurred several times, usually between Midnight and 4:00 AM. This bedroom is currently occupied by a female relative of the resident. The police have been notified, but by the time they arrive the DRONE has flown away. (V38C backs to open space, Parkside Dr and 12 Bridges; entrances are Stepping Stone and Pebblestone, off Parkside.) This is the second incident of this type reported to me. The last one was about a year ago and occurred in the area of Hidden Hills. (V21 backs to open space and Stoneridge Blvd, Hidden Hills is the entrance.) Anyone with information about these incidents should contact the Lincoln Police Department Non-emergency number 916-645-4040. Then give me a call. The short list: |
Deny opportunities for theft by FULLY closing garage door & locking doors & windows Suspicious Activity: Observe & report. 9-1-1 emergency, 916 645-4040 non-emergency
