PG&E does not send employees door-to-door

We have received reports that solar salespersons are knocking on doors, stating that PG&E has sent them to help lower bills. They usually represent legitimate companies and this sales pitch does not appear to be illegal but it is misleading.

DO NOT LET THEM IN. NEVER OPEN YOUR DOOR TO ANY STRANGER!! TALK TO THEM THROUGH THE DOOR OR A SIDE WINDOW. ONCE YOU OPEN THE DOOR, YOU HAVE NO PROTECTION.

PG&E indicates they do not call or go to homes to offer discounts. You should ask them to leave a card with their identifying information.

Call PG&E at 1-877-660-6789 M-F 7am-9pm, Sat 8am-6pm to find out if they are legitimate. Or email customerserviceonline@pge.com
