1. Attempted Burglary
A resident on Albion Ct (V43C near The Villas) reports that while out shopping on Saturday, 05/11/19 between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM the below described suspect attempted to break into the residence. The side garage door had been pried and the rear sliding glass door had also been pried. Neither attempt was successful.
A neighbor’s video camera shows the listed suspect going to the resident/victim’s front door, then going through the side gate and into the back yard. The video also shows the resident/victim coming home and a minute later the listed suspect is seen jumping over the side gate and running away. The video also shows a red car cruising past the house several times during the attempted Burglary. The Lincoln Police responded, and during a crime scene search, they found a “Coke” can near the side garage door. This can was taken in for processing and possible prints. The neighbor’s video will also be reviewed by the LPD.
Suspect: Young male, tall, slender with a backpack (No further description at this time) Suspect vehicle: RED CAR. (No further description)
2. License Plate Theft
A rear license plate was removed/stolen from a vehicle in the 2800 block of Eagles Peak
Ln (V35B near the Rossi Ln entrance). This possibly occurred on Wednesday, 05/08/19. The vehicle was parked in the resident’s driveway at the time of the theft.
3. Arrest for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The Lincoln Police reports that a 34-year old individual was contacted at the “Del Webb Sports Complex” and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released. This occurred on 04/24/19 at 9:43 PM.
**** Incident number one above is an example of how Video Cameras can be very valuable in aiding in a criminal investigation!!!
**** Incident number three indicates that our facilities are open to anyone including “Drug” users. Keep windows, doors, garage and vehicles locked when not in use.
The police cannot be everywhere, therefore residents need to be alert and report any suspicious persons or vehicles. This is the mission of Neighborhood Watch: Observe and Report.
