The NW website is sclhwatch.org. Once on the site, click on Alerts, just above the photos. There you will see all the Alerts sent out since the new website received a facelift in June, 2018. We also have many flyers with safety tips. You can find those by selecting SECURITY on the menu with the brown background.

1…Some time during the night of Monday 12/31/18 (New Year’s Eve) some person(s) unknown shattered the rear sliding glass door of a residence in the 2100 block of Prairie View Ln . The residents were away at the time. The residence was entered and ransacked by the perpetrators, according to neighbors. Loss to be determined!!  The Police were called the next day and responded.

Two neighbors, across the street from the aforementioned Burglary, reported suspicious activity around the same time. One neighbor reports that her burglar alarm went off while she was home watching TV. She did not see anyone, and did not have the police respond. The other neighbor heard some noise on the side of her house which woke her from sleep. She did not get up to investigate, but she did hear a car speed away. The next day she found that her side gate had been unlocked, and someone had apparently knocked over some items on that side of the house. She did advise the police when they responded to the Burglary across the street the next day.

2…On 12/21/18 police reported that unknown suspects broke into a residence in the 1200 Block of Tiger Lily Ln. No further information at this time.

3…On 12/21/18, according to the Lincoln Police, there were two vehicles in the 1900 block of Laurelhurst Ln that were broken into and miscellaneous items were stolen. There is no further information at this time.

4… ON A POSITIVE NOTE : The ELK GROVE POLICE have made an arrest relative to a burglary in the 300 block of Sawmill Ln back on 11/26/18.

(This was a burglary where the house was for sale, and the suspects had cut the realtor’s lock box from the gas meter on the side of the residence and used the lock box key to gain entry, after shutting off the electrical power to the house.)

Apparently, according to our Sun City victim, two subjects were arrested after they committed another burglary in Elk Grove, CA and a witness was able to obtain the license plate number on the suspect’s vehicle. That vehicle was located at a motel in Elk Grove where the police found our victim’s TV, jewelry, etc. plus numerous other pieces of property stolen from ten other burglaries. It’s unknown if any other SCLH victim’s property was recovered.

5…A resident reports that she received a “Very Official” looking letter in which a company, “GINNY’S in MONROE,WISCONSIN” demands payment for an alleged item purchased by this resident. This resident had never done business with this company!! There was a phone number which turns out to be registered in TEXAS.

This is a “SCAM”.
